LANCASTER – The OUTreach Center is launching its book Club for diverse readers from 7 to 8 p.m., Sunday, September 18, at the SEIU building at 42231 6th Street West, Suite 201, just north of Avenue M.
First up in the three-part Book Club series is “A Secret Edge”, a coming-of-age novel about identity and courage. Author Robin Reardon, a 2008 Lambda Literary Finalist, will participate in the conversation by conference call. The book can be obtained from the public library or local bookstores.
The OUTreach Center, formerly the Antelope Valley Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center, is a non-profit grassroots organization providing support, services, and social activities to the LGBT community of the Antelope Valley and its surrounding communities.

Andrew Pari, L.C.S.W. says
I applaud Julie’s perseverance in continuing to promote not just acceptance and tolerance, but full and balanced inclusion, of the GLBTQ community, and all children, throughout the educational system of the Antelope Valley.
We all benefit for it.
