LANCASTER — Jon Eric Tubo, 39, was behind bars Saturday on felony charges, with bail set at $1 million, according to the Sheriff’s Department’s Inmate Information Center.
Officials say Tubo was behind the wheel in a drunken driving crash Friday that killed a 66-year-old man.
The accident happened around 7:30 p.m. on 10th Street East, north of Avenue G, in Lancaster.
Officials said Tubo’s vehicle drifted onto the shoulder, then flipped several times.
The name of the 66-year-old man killed in the crash was not released.
Tubo was arrested on charges of felony drunken driving and manslaughter. He is due in court on Tuesday.
Estrada says
Its an issue few dare to discuss. That issue is addiction. Maybe Tubo never admitted that he had a drinking problem. Its too bad because there a time where luck runs out and someone gets hurt. But the one that gets hurt is always the innocent victim that has nothing to do with the poor choices another has made.
