Starting at 8 p.m., Tuesday, November 8th, the processing of Local & Municipal election night ballots will be streamed live over the Internet, according to the Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk’s office.
Voters can view the live streaming footage of election night activities at RR/CC Headquarters in Norwalk at www.lavote.com. The video stream will give voters live access to observe five different critical election night operations:
- Ballot Receiving. Ballots are scanned to account for their arrival at RR/CC Headquarters;
- Ballot Inspection. RR/CC staff inspects and prepares the ballots prior to being tallied;
- Snag Boards. Ballot issues are resolved.
- Green Stripe Envelope. Security envelopes are de-processed; and
- Microcomputer Tally System. Ballots are read and tabulated prior to producing election results.
The first bulletin with initial Vote by Mail ballot results will be issued about 8:30 p.m. As precinct ballots arrive during the evening, updated cumulative results will be available and posted on the RR/CC’s website here.
After the initial precinct bulletin, and as ballots are processed, semi-official results will be available approximately every 20 minutes until all precincts have reported.
Results will be updated until a semi-official election night tally showing 100% of the precincts reporting are posted.
Some abbreviated result updates will also be available via Twitter here.

Who knows who or what she is and who really cares. Thank goodness people are wise to her and she won’t run the City of Palmdale into the ground like Obama has the nation.
William says
Didn’t George Bush run the country into the ground with an increased deficit, 2 wars and a stock market crash before Obama took office? Remember, the stock market also crashed in 1987 when Reagan was president. Yeah, those republicans sure know how to eff things up.

The fact that Maggie Campbell has listed herself as a “Professor” is a complete joke. Back in September, when I decided to go onto lavote.net to see the list of qualified candidates, I seriously had to stop myself from laughing after I double checked to make sure it was right. Anyways, She doesn’t stand a single chance.

I just found out that she awarded herself an “honorary doctoral degree” from her church/college/perfume store/Christian School/Wedding Planner/Real Estate office, and made herself a “doctor”. If you go online, you can buy an “accredited” master’s degree in pastoring from her for $200 – no joke! So, basically, she has cheapened the idea of higher education to make a buck and boost her own ego. As someone stated before, I’m surprised she doesn’t sell Snake Oil too. I have no problem with someone running for office but I do have a major problem with them lying about everything or telling half-truths. Maggie, tell everyone that you gave yourself an honorary “doctoral degree” and quit misleading them to think otherwise!
Miffed American says
hmmmmmmmmmmmm, well if it’s the same Maggie Campbell there is one that had a Realtor License in the Valley a some years ago.The License is no longer valid though.

This was posted on facebook today by a Palmdale City Councilman:
“It is unfortunate that an old friend and ally has chosen to lead the effort to dismantle the city’s efforts to ensure Section 8 compliance and quality rental housing, and in their political zealousness, instead are creating racial divisiveness, blindsiding city officials with lawsuits and federal investigators, and costing our city a fortune in legal fees, money that keeps the parks, playhouse, pools and library open. I do not believe that bodes well for someone that wants to be a High School trustee. I will not be supporting those that are suing our city, and are not part of the current solution, including Emmet Murrell.”

Wow… the mudslinging is in full swing!! Pray tell, who was the Palmdale City Councilman who launched that missile?
Jo says
Really, why vote for a man who has spent 30yrs here in the valley, housing at risk kids, getting them not just through thigh school, but into college and the military? Bastard, how dare he! (sarcasm)
Vote for someone who is using the high school board as a jump off to higher office. Nothing like putting the kids 1st. (again sarcasm)
Matt Keltner says
I will be voting for Jill McGrady as a High School trustee for sure! She was my English teacher in high school and she has done lots of work with people in the arts in this Valley, including the theatrical community. I also think that it is important to have former teachers as trustees because they understand the public education process better and are less likely to use the position to springboard to another office.
Matt Keltner says
What does Maggie Campbell claim that she is a “professor” of? She seems to give herself a new title every day. Yesterday it was “pastor” Maggie Campbell.
