PALMDALE – The Antelope Valley Chapter of the NAACP is inviting residents to join them today in seeing “Red Tails,” a movie about the Tuskegee Airmen, an all-black World War II fighter pilot squad. The squadron, which was sent to North Africa and Italy to escort white bomber pilots, consisted of some of the best fighter pilots in the Air Corps.
“Red Tails” stars Academy Award winning actor, Cuba Gooding Jr., and Academy Award nominated actor Terrance Howard.
Members of the NAACP’s local chapter will be attending the 7 p.m. showing of “Red Tails” tonight at Cinemark at Antelope Valley Mall located at 1475 W. Avenue P in Palmdale. They’re asking residents to join them for the group activity.
“Let’s support the life stories of our African American heroes,” reads the invite.
Tickets are $9 for adults and $6.50 for children and seniors. Attendees are responsible for purchasing their own tickets.
