LANCASTER – Lancaster patrol deputies captured four suspects who they say robbed an elderly Lancaster man while he was taking his 4-year-old grandson for a walk.
Shortly after 10 a.m., Wednesday (Feb. 29, 2012), a 64-year-old Lancaster man was taking his 4-year-old grandson for a walk through their neighborhood.
As they neared the intersection of Hanstead Avenue and Calmae Drive, the man saw three males walking towards him. As the trio passed him and his grandson, the man was suddenly grabbed from behind by one of the males who placed him a “choke hold”.
As the suspect held him, the other two suspects robbed him of his wallet and glasses as his grandson looked on in horror.
The three suspects then ran to a Silver PT Cruiser that was being driven by a female.
The responding deputy issued a county wide broadcast regarding the description of the suspects and their vehicle.
Less than an hour later, deputies located the suspects and the vehicle near Fern Avenue and Avenue I in the city of Lancaster. All four suspects were taken into custody and booked at Lancaster Station.
Arrested were:
- Daman Spears, 24
- Terrill Smith, 18
- Jacqueline Huff, 22 and
- A 16-year-old male juvenile
Spears, Smith and Huff are being held at Lancaster Station. Bail has been set at $50,000 each.
The juvenile was transported to a Juvenile Custody Facility where he is being held without bail.
The victim and his grandson were not injured during the incident.
Lancaster Station’s “Robbery Suppression Team” is investigating the incident.

Anyone care to bet if these fine upstanding individuals accused of this crime are receiving some sort of public assistance?
Will Lancaster City Council candidate Isaac Grajeda be an advocate for these reformed felons with the justice system is done with them?
One answer though, LA Sheriff’s did a great job rounding these individuals up.
Questions but few answers.

Say what you wish. Unlike Sandra Johnson who skips EVERY debate and relies on Rex’s paid for “handlers” who obviously advised her to keep her mouth shut knowing what will come out would embarass Rex, Mr. Grajeda is man enought to appear for a debate in hostile waters and answer what were probably tough questions. I will take Mr. Grajeda over Sandra “Huh?” Johnson anyday.
CKAY says
And Sandra Johnson credits herself. She said so in a letter sent to the 2nd debate she ran away from. To busy in DC getting that vocational school she calls a university re-accredited? Or is she there carrying Rex’s brief case around? Stay there Sandra. DC needs more people like you.
What’s in your wallet?

Sad when a grandfather can’t take his grandchild our for a walk without something like this happening.

James, do you care to comment on the deputies actions in this story too?
Jason says
Of course he wont. We all know he only comes out of the woodworks to go along with all the others when they all percieve the deputies ot be wrong.
