ANTELOPE VALLEY – A 21-year-old Palmdale man is in critical condition after being shot and left for dead in the desert by two men during an apparent carjacking, which took place around 12:15 p.m. Monday, according to the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station.
Deputies say the two suspects are possibly driving the victim’s vehicle, which is a 2010 Toyota Camry, 4 door sedan, grey in color, Ca. License 6JPX870.
The carjackers are considered armed and dangerous, and the public is urged to call 911 if they see the vehicle.

Deputies from Lancaster and Palmdale Stations responded to the area of 180th Street East and Avenue M in the unincorporated east county area following a call of a possible gunshot victim at the location.
A passerby found the victim, a 21-year-old male from Palmdale, lying in the desert. He was suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. The victim was airlifted to a local hospital where he underwent surgery for life-threatening wounds. His condition is listed as critical but guarded.
During the course of the subsequent investigation, deputies determined the victim’s vehicle, a 2010 Toyota Camry, 4 door sedan, grey in color, Ca. License 6JPX870, had been stolen during the incident.
Deputies were able to determine that the crime was committed by two males, who are possibly driving the victim’s vehicle. The suspects are considered armed and dangerous and the public is being urged to call 911 if they see the vehicle.
Based on the victim’s condition, further information is limited at this time.
The investigation is continuing.

The Eye in the Sky will only catch the activity if it is directed to it. No one knew that crime was being committed untill after the fact. I’m concerned weather it’s going to be the same idiots that answer the non response number at the station who will be directing the Eye.They can’t seem to send a deputy to the right address when you call them or they don”t enter the call for a couple hours.They always say they had an emergency or something. If crime has been reduced by +40% and we have more Deputies in cars than we did a year ago, what are they doing and why can’t they respond when you call them about the truck load of teenage boys standing out front smoking dope and drinking 40’s around a campfire in the side yard. I’m just sayin…
