PALMDALE – The City of Palmdale is opening up the Palmdale Oasis Recreation Center as a donation site for residents to bring their gently used pet items and blankets during the month of April so they may be given to the Lancaster Animal Care Shelter.
“In the past we have collected donations around the holidays for the South Antelope Valley Emergency Services,” said Program Leader Becky Errea. “This inspired one of our Program Leaders named Adriana Olmedo to come up with a way for people to help out the animals in our local shelter. It makes it even more convenient and easier to help a worthwhile organization such as the animal shelter,” said Errea.
The group is looking for gently used blankets, towels, leashes, collars, toys, sealed dog food and treats, and laundry detergent.
“All these items can help make a puppy’s stay a little better,” Errea said.
Donations may be made Mondays through Fridays, between 3:30 and 6 pm.
The Palmdale Oasis Park Center is located at 3850 East Avenue S.

Maybe Rex Parris can bring the Coogie blankets his mutant poodles have chewed up there for re-cycling. Given it has anything to do with Palmdale makes it unlikely.

Great idea! I hope it’s extremely successful.
