LANCASTER – Tomorrow, hundreds will walk together to create a world free of multiple sclerosis. The National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s Walk MS will kick off at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, April 28 at Lancaster Marketplace, located at 44950 Valley Central Way in Lancaster.
The event is rallying point for the MS movement – a day for local communities to come together to raise funds and celebrate hope for the future.
Step by step. Dollar by dollar. Walk MS changes lives.
More than 1,500 walkers are expected to participate in Walk MS, sponsored by Wells Fargo. The goal is to raise more than $100,000 to support direct services for the thousands of people affected by MS in the Antelope Valley, as well as cutting-edge research worldwide to find better treatments and ultimately a cure for the chronic, unpredictable disease.
Proceeds raised will benefit the Southern California & Nevada Chapter of the National MS Society.
Every hour in the U.S., someone is newly diagnosed with MS, an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system. Symptoms range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis.
MS stops people from moving. The National MS Society exists to make sure it doesn’t. For more information, call 1.800.FIGHT.MS or visit www.nationalMSsociety.org/cal.
