Two sought in armed robberies of three restaurants

LANCASTER – Lancaster Station detectives have identified the two armed robbers who allegedly held up three fast food restaurants in a two-hour span on June 10. They are now seeking the public’s help in locating the men.

“We need to get them off the street,” said Lancaster Station spokesman Michael Rust. “They are armed and dangerous.”

Damon Deshaun Banks is a 27-year-old black male with brown hair and brown eyes; he is approximately six feet two inches tall and weighs around 180 pounds. There is a $300,000 felony warrant for his arrest.

Lee Vance McQuilkin

Lee Vance McQuilkin is a 27-year-old black male with brown hair and brown eyes; he is approximately six feet two inches tall and weighs around weighs 170 pounds. There is a $300,000 felony warrant for his arrest.

Banks and McQuilkin were identified through a combination of “surveillance video and good old police work,” Rust said.

The men are accused of robbing Little Caesars, Wienerschnitzel and Subway between 7 and 9 p.m. on Sunday, June 10.

In all three cases, the men walked into the restaurants, held the employees at gunpoint, demanded money from the register and then escaped on foot. Read more here.

  1. Damon banks is innocent!!!!! You have the wrong person. I pray him and his family get thrue this.

    • There’s no way Damon Banks committed this crime!!! And those who know him such as his college professors, employer, coaches, friends and family know this to be true. I am sure without shift verification of such outrageous allegation this case will gain national attention. I’m so fed up with people who don’t have the finances for solid legal representation being denied due justice. Fortunately, this will not be the case. I whole-heartedly support ridding the streets of criminals. Nonetheless, there are far too many individuals who are innocent sitting behind bars due to so called “Good old detective work.” I’m hopeful that officials will see this is a case of mistaken identity. Damon Banks’ family and friends will utilize all resources to prove his innocence. Irony, how can he be in two places at the same time. The false imprisonment of Brian Banks was one too many. The family and friends of Damon Banks urge the DA to take a detailed look at this case.

      • This most certainly is a mistake, Damon Banks is not the guy who did this. Another case of mistaken identity has this guy appearing to the world as something he is not, all while people who are so quick to judge an degrade an innocent hard-working father, brother and son still go unprotected in their own communities, due to the FACT that the guy whose description he fit is still roaming. The DA will see this and clear this innocent mans’ name.

    • Everyone is innocent, until proven guilty. Damon is no different in his current situation…he simply has to prove his innocence versus the state’s proof of guilt.

      • In this situation ,he is guilty until proven innocent. If you have no compassion for an innocent person who is caged up like an animal for no valid reason at all ,then you should rethink whether or not you should be a part of the human RACE. He should nOT BE IN THIS PREDICAMENT. ALL THE EVIDENCE BEING REQUESTED SHOULD HAVE BEEN REQUESTED PRIOR TO AN ARREST WARRANT BEING ISSUED.WHEN THIS IS OVER ALL HE GETS IS AN OOPS,Oh well, this is how the justice system works…Not even close to fair or just. Damons arrest has only added more victims to the list of people who were victimized.

  3. I heard this happened on the scanner, they had the police scrambling. They were always one step ahead. They were smart enough to elude capture three times.

    • Sometimes when our Deputies don’t coordinate who is taking what call, they sort of look like The Keystone Cops. I am surprised they don’t crash into eachother more often.

    • Yeah! they still have not found the guy who killed the Air Force soldier in Lancaster that was sitting in his car.
