PALMDALE – Palmdale deputies are on the lookout for two thieves who stole several iPhones from an AT&T Store in Palmdale Monday afternoon.
The incident happened around 2:45 p.m. at the AT&T Store on 47th Street East and Avenue R in Palmdale, according to Palmdale Station Watch Deputy John Cereoli.
“Two male Blacks went into the AT&T Store, one distracted the clerk, while the other one brought in bolt cutters to cut open the main cabinet with the new iPhones,” Cereoli said.
He said the thieves stole several iPhones from the cabinet before running out the store.
There were video surveillance cameras in the store, which should help authorities identify the two thieves, Cereoli said.
Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact the Palmdale Station at 272-2400. If you would like to remain anonymous, you may do so by contacting “Crime Stoppers” at 800-222-TIPS (8477)

give them help!!!! HAHA they already have help. wefare section 8. you cant expect other ppl to help the ppl that there parents should have raised right
Observer says
I wish the NAACP and that TCal group would really focus on the fact that it seems to be black males who are committing the bulk of the robberies in Palmdale lately.
Quigley says
Observer it is the entire AV, and I agree. It is obvious the black community needs some help, not “poor me they are picking on me cuz I’m black” It is obvious in this valley that black crime is out of control, like it or not to those who will argue that color should not matter. Perhaps the NAACP & TCAL should make more of an effort to help this community and the black families who are struggling, instead of waiting for their primetime PR bull sh#!. Help is needed now not later!
SMH says
TWO BLACK MALES….. maybe one of these TWO BLACK MALES is the guy who commited the crime Damon Banks allegedly commited.
Sherrill Hubbard says
I bet if I pulled a stunt like that I would never get out of jail. Probably won’t do anything to these crud because the jails are full of the same idiots.
Waiting says
Wait for “Letlow” to come and apologize for these thugs…
Concered says
He won’t apologize, he will “try” to justify!
Letlow says
Um, why should I apologize for two thieves I don’t know, have no relation to, and have NEVER met?? Because I’m black? You people are really pathetic, I swear!
Tell you what, I’ll apologize for those two thugs when YOU apologize for the HIV-positive son of a church pastor who attacked a 10-year-old boy in a Portland restaurant bathroom last week…
Obviously you people don’t understand, can’t understand or WON’T UNDERSTAND what I have been saying since I began posting here. Let me say it again just to be sure.
ALL CRIMINALS should be locked up, regardless of color. That includes me, if I break the law, and you, if you break the law.
DBxx says
More black males robbing again!! What a damn shame =\
The Ugly Truth says
Are you REALLY surprised? Seriously???????????
DBxx says
Not at all. I was saying it sarcastically ;)
Alex says
This is becoming too common here. They are going to drive hard working people and stores out of town, and this will become just another ghetto. It’s well on it’s way unless something changes.
Cheri says
Ditto!
sacryinshame says
I think that’s the master plan.
Mike says
All we can do is have faith that the Sheriffs Dept. will apprehend them eventually. You cannot run from crime. It is everywhere, trust me! I lived in Bullhead City Arizona and Gardnerville Nevada and I saw white tweakers rip people off all of the time in both of those places.
I believe that when the housing market heats up a lot of these investors who bought houses and Section 8’d them out are going to sell and when they do, Section 8 renters will have to leave the Valley. The good thing is that once they get a voucher, they can take it anywhere in the U.S. and I suspect lots of them will head to California City, Barstow, Victorville or out of state to Vegas or Phoenix. Its already happening actually. Two Section 8 families my buddy rented to moved to Las Vegas last month because there are lots of nice rentals available there now. I expect this trend to gain momentum here very soon.
Quartz Hill Resident says
Mike, hope you are right. The AV has turned into Ghetto Valley. Hope they take those vouchers and get the hell out!
Mike says
They will. A lot of these investors just want to get the hell out from under them at this point and will sell as soon as it is even slightly profitable.
Tammy says
I agree with Mike! I think you will start to see a huge difference in this Valley (for the better) when the housing market heats up again and the investors start to sell. The investors that I have talked to say that if they can scrape even 15% above what they bought these homes for- they will, just to be rid of them and the hassle. The banks are already inflating the cost of homes which is in turn heating up the market for the investors.
When this happens, it’s going to be “bye bye Lancaster/Palmdale” and “Hello Adelanto/Cal City/ Barstow/victorville” for these Section 8 dependents and their crime prone kids.
The one thing Lancaster/Palmdale has in its favor that those other places don’t have is they are closer to LA, Valencia, San Fernando Valley where more educated people live and whose kids are starting to come out and buy affordable houses. There are actually tons of LAPD officers in west Lancaster, QH and Rancho Vista. Two of the houses in my west side neighborhood were just sold to young families in thier 20s from Valencia as a matter of fact.
Victorville is close to what….? San Bernardino? Have fun with that! I’m actually thankful to be in the AV when I think about it.
Letlow says
Thank you for your perspective. Hopefully, some of the prejudice people that post here can get it through their thick skulls that crime has no color.
Working in Pensacola, FL some years back, I constantly read in the news about white gang bangers and white tweakers stealing everything that wasn’t nailed down.
I was smart enough not to associate those white folk with the people in the AV, you know, just because they share the same skin color. Too bad the geniuses that post here are not that bright…
Alex says
Well, here we got rid of our white tweaker problem by snitching on them and their meth labs. Maybe the black community and the Pensacola white trash should snitch on their dealers and criminals.
So what brought you to the AV from there?
Letlow says
So happy to have missed the tweaker wave in the AV. Too bad I’m here for the gang banging phase.
I followed my significant other out to the AV, and now that we have dropped anchor, I have no plans on leaving (much to the dismay of many of the posters here).
Matt K. says
The solution is not to leave but to stay and stay strong and keep a vigilant eye out for suspicious activity! Get involved with your neighbors and form a Neighborhood Watch group. If all you do is pack up and move when things get slightly dicey then pretty soon you will have nowhere to move to.
Support your local Sheriffs Department through organizations like the Palmdale Sheriffs Boosters which supports our local law enforcement.
Here is their facebook page:

Also, keep in mind that these guys *will be caught*, it’s just a matter of time at this point. Their faces and body types are now plastered on high quality camera footage that is being reviewed by trained personnel as I type this.
These iPhones cannot be activated without Apple being notified and I am sure that the people at AT&T have contacted the people over at Apple and notified them of the serial numbers on this batch of stolen iPhones and I am absolutely sure that Apple, AT&T and the Palmdale Sheriffs Department are watching and waiting to see when they will be activated and by whom. That’s a major problem for thieves who try to steal this type of technology.
Alex says
I am not leaving this valley anytime soon, this is my home. Hell, I remember when the problem was the white tweakers in this valley.
I wish we could make the Politicians who coddle criminals but restrict gun rights walk through one of these bad neighborhoods at night and see what they think of CCWs after their walk. Funny part is, a lot of the politicians who are actively against gun rights have CCWs for their own protection.
I wish we could increase the size of our Lancaster and Palmdale stations, they have a non-stop flow of calls and reports to write. Our deputies work a lot harder than a lot of people realize.
