LANCASTER – The Lancaster Performing Arts Center (LPAC) Foundation is currently accepting applications for their 2012-2013 Community Arts Grant Program. The grant program, now in its sixteenth year, provides annual production funding to community performing arts organizations which perform at LPAC.
“Since 1996, the LPAC Foundation has supported local performance groups with the resources they need to continue bringing high quality entertainment and culture to the children, young adults and families of the Antelope Valley. During the 2011-2012 season, we were pleased to be able to assist six local performing arts organizations,” stated Lou Bozigian, Foundation Board President.
The Community Arts Grant Program application packets are available through the LPAC Foundation office at Lancaster City Hall, Department of Parks, Recreation and Arts, located at 44933 Fern Avenue. Applications are also available for download at www.lpacf.org. Eligible applicants must hold and be able to produce certification of a qualified, non-profit status.
Organizations can apply for a maximum of $2,500. However, grant dollars awarded may be less depending on various factors, including, the number of applicants approved for the 2012-2013 funding cycle. The deadline for submittal of the applications is Thursday, July 26, 2012, with recipients to be announced by September 5, 2012. Funded programs or projects must be implemented within twelve months of the award date.
The Foundation Board of Directors consists of Louis V. “Lou” Bozigian, R. Steven Derryberry, Dr. John Porter, Timothy Doerfler, Berna Mayer, Dr. Inpamani S. Arul, Marco Johnson, Marilyn Norris, Michelle Shaver, Becky Smith and Mark E. Thompson.
