PALMDALE – In honor of its 50th Birthday, the City of Palmdale has put together a special commemorative video, “Palmdale: Celebrating 50 Years”, which spans the Antelope Valley’s early history through Palmdale’s incorporation up until the City’s present day.
View the 50th Anniversary Video web cast on the City’s website here.
The 50th Anniversary Video will also be available in DVD format at the Palmdale Library and will air daily on Palmdale Ch. 27 on Time Warner Cable at 10 a.m., 12 noon, 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.
“It is a wonderful and educational look back at our community’s rich heritage,” said Palmdale’s Communications Manager John Mlynar. “Today, everyone can see how successful Palmdale has become, but it is amazing to see what occurred behind-the-scenes as Palmdale developed over the past 50 years.”
The video was debuted in the Palmdale Council Chambers during the City’s 50th Birthday Bash on Friday, August 24 at Poncitlan Square.
“I believe the video will give viewers a true appreciation for what Palmdale’s founders fought for and accomplished,” added Armin Gomez, Communications Producer and Editor. “The inspiring seeds they sowed continue to bloom in the pride and hard work of our Palmdale community.”
