PALMDALE – The City of Palmdale’s public safety and community relations department will hold a Neighborhood Watch Orientation presentation for property owners and residents on Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 7 p.m. in the City Council Chamber, located at 38300 Sierra Highway, Suite B.
“Neighborhood Watch is the most effective means available for keeping crime out of our neighborhoods,” said Palmdale’s Crime Prevention Officer Kery German. “It’s also very effective in preparing yourself and your neighborhood for any type of emergency situation, such as an earthquake or wildfire that may arise.”
Palmdale crime prevention officers and deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Palmdale Station will facilitate the presentation.
The group will answer questions and discuss how Neighborhood Watch works and how it can help residents and their neighborhoods.
“We’re encouraging residents who are not currently involved in Neighborhood Watch to come learn about the program and how easy it is to form and maintain a group in their neighborhood,” German said.
