PALMDALE – Palmdale detectives are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect in a child annoyance case, which occurred Monday afternoon.
The incident happened around 4:45 p.m. in the area of 35th Street East and East Avenue R-14, according to Palmdale Community Relations deputy Robbie Royster.
A 13-year-old girl told detectives that she was walking home from school when a Hispanic man driving a white Toyota Prius began calling out to her and soliciting her to get into his vehicle.
The victim ignored the suspect’s request, ran home and reported the incident to her parents, who then contacted Palmdale Station, Royster said.
The child annoyance suspect is described as a 35-year-old Hispanic male with a shaved head, brown eyes, and a thin mustache. He is approximately 5’10” and weighs around 150 pounds. The suspect’s vehicle is described as a “pearl” white Toyota Prius with a California license plate.
Anyone with information regarding the suspect’s identity is asked to contact Palmdale Station’s Detective Bureau at 661-272-2400. If you would like to remain anonymous, you may do so by calling Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.

@Gladys: I’m going to have to call BS on you this time. In your usual haste to blame the cops for everything, you are flat out lying this time. First, LASD DID take a missing person report, yesterday, from your “neighbor.” The myth that one must wait 72 hours before reporting someone missing, is just that, a myth. Its LASD’s policy to take missing reports as soon as possible. In fact, law enforcement agencies by law can not refuse to take one. Secondly, you are implying the cops did nothing to “the white folks” when the girl was found. Wait though, I thought the cops refused to do anything for 72 hours?? Which is it? Also, if a runaway girl shows up at your home,to visit your kids or whatever, and you have no clue she is a runaway, what exact charges do you think the homeowner should face? That’s not a crime! Lastly, do you know how much time our cops waste looking for runaway kids who don’t want to be found? TOO MANY! There a a few exceptions, but a 14 year old voluntary runaway doesn’t “normally” fit into the criteria that would call for an all out response from every cop in town. Get your facts straight Gladys, before you run your mouth next time.

Do you consider yourself a racist, Gladys? Just wondering.

We’re all still waiting for your explanation of exactly what criminal charges you believe apply to the homeowners where the girl was found. It’s not personal to me, it’s just obvious to all who read this blog that you love to blame the cops for all of life’s misfortunes! You can’t SERIOUSLY believe that with all the press child molesters have received lately, that a cop is going to risk his career by deciding “oh it’s white folks, I’m not going to investigate this, besides, the kid is hispanic, so who cares.” Hector had it right above, you are an obvious racist.
Hector says
Amen to that too.

Sweet comeback… Typical moronic behavior… Come on a forum, post something off topic then play the victim when people tell you your a fool. The fact that you know the policies on reporting a missing person speaks volumes about you. Either you are the neighborhood community organizer or you have had to report your own kids “missing”. Either way kinda makes you look like a fool. And if your neighbor comes to you and pours out their soul about their inability to parent or their perceived lack of service from law enforcement, you probably have crappy neighbors. I mean who goes out and tells their neighbors Yup! my family is a mess and my kid ran away and the cops wont help me…..And what kind of fool are you if after your neighbor says that you go Oh my god! The cops are like so evil and my neighbor must be far more reputable than the cops even though they suck at being parents….

Not necessarily. Maybe a liberal took it from a wealthy conservative and redistributed the vehicle to the needy. The guy driving is nothing more than the recipient of the social handout provided by the liberal. Though.. now that I think about it he will in fact now be beholden to said liberal and support that philosophy thus producing another liberal. I’m sorry, yes a liberal.

Point taken.

I was thinking the same thing about the accomplice in the Target security guard biting story.
