LANCASTER – Well over a thousand people flocked to the Lancaster Auto Mall Sunday for the second annual “Creepy Cruise” event. The event featured gourmet food trucks, children’s trunk-or-treating, and costume contests for both children and adults.
The main attraction was the car show, which featured nearly 50 creepy cars competing for the coveted “Best in Show” award. This year’s grand prize went to Shawn Whittemore’s 1968 Plymouth GTX.
“I had this idea of the car hitting some bodies, and then a spider taking over the car and wrapping up one of the bodies,” Whittemore. said. “Then I came up with the guillotine, recently, and threw that in on the side.” Whittemore said the masterpiece took about two hours to decorate using various supplies he accumulated over the years.
“All this stuff is going to end up going on my house for Wednesday (Halloween),” Whittemore added.
The family-friendly event was organized by the AV Mopar Club, and all proceeds will be donated to the local Fallen Heroes Fund.
