PALMDALE – Starting Monday (Nov. 19), the City of Palmdale will be offering free red ribbons to residents as part of its Tie One On campaign, which begins on Thursday, Nov. 22 and runs through Tuesday, Jan. 1.
“In recognition of December being named National Drunk and Drugged Driving, or 3D Prevention Month, the City of Palmdale is encouraging all drivers to display a red ribbon on the antennas of their vehicles to show their support of the Tie One On campaign,” said Palmdale Community Safety Supervisor Kelly Long.
Residents may pick up red ribbons at Palmdale’s public safety and community relations department, located at 827 East Avenue Q-9, and display the ribbon on their vehicles through Jan. 1.
Red ribbons will be displayed on City vehicles and will also be provided to the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station for display on all patrol vehicles.
For more information, contact the public safety and community relations department at 661-267-5181.
