PALMDALE – The city of Palmdale’s parks and recreation department will be accepting registration for various spring sports leagues next week.
Registration will be available beginning Jan. 21 online at www.cityofpalmdale.org/playpalmdale or in person at the parks and recreation office, 38260 10th St. East in Palmdale, Monday through Thursday between 10 am and 6 pm. The parks and recreation office will be closed Monday, Jan. 21 in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, but online registration will be available beginning at 10 am.

Spring t-ball, coaches pitch and baseball programs (Registration Jan. 21-Feb. 21)
The program is offered in three leagues: t-ball for children aged 5 to 8, coaches pitch for children aged 7 to 10 and baseball for children aged 10 to 12.
The cost is $67 for Palmdale residents and $80 for non-residents. The fee includes weekly practice, a twelve game schedule, jersey, cap, picture package and trophy.
The games will begin Saturday, April 20. Practices for t-ball and coaches pitch will be held at McAdam Park and Best of the West Softball Complex. Practices for baseball will be held at Best of the West. Coaches will determine practice days and times. Games will be held at Best of the West Softball Complex, located at 2723 Rancho Vista Blvd.
Spots are available on a first come, first served basis. Early registration is encouraged.
Girls Softball (Ages 10 to 16) (Registration Jan. 21-Feb. 21)
The program will be broken down into two age divisions: ages 10 through 12, and 13 through 16. Fees are $67 for Palmdale residents and $80 for non-residents. The fee includes a jersey, visor, picture package, trophy, practices and 12 league games.
The games will begin on Saturday, April 20. Practices are held at Best of the West Softball Complex. Coaches will determine practice days and times. Games will be held at the Best of the West Softball Complex, located at 2723 Rancho Vista Blvd.

The league will run from March 11 through May 26, and the fee is $400 per team plus $11 per game for the umpire. Teams will play one classification game prior to the start of league and a ten-game schedule.
Players must be at least 16 years old and there is a maximum of 16 players per team.
Games will be played on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday nights from 6:30 to 10:15 pm, pm at the Best of the West Softball Complex, 2723 Rancho Vista Blvd.
Men’s Slow Pitch League (Registration Jan. 21-Feb. 21)
Players must be at least 16 years old and there is a maximum of 16 players per team. The fee is $400 per team, plus $11 per game for the umpire. Teams will play one classification game prior to the start of league and a ten-game schedule.
Games will be played on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday nights from 6:30 to 10:15 pm at the Best of the West Softball Complex, 2723 Rancho Vista Blvd. The league will run from March 11 through May 26.
Youth Volleyball League (Registration Jan. 21-Feb. 28)
There will be three divisions, for ages 7 to 9, ages 10 to 12 and ages 13 to 16. The fee is $57 for Palmdale residents and $68 for non-residents. The fee includes a jersey, trophy, picture package, practice and eight league games. Proof of age is required for all youth sports.
Games will be played Saturdays between 9 am and 5 pm at the Palmdale Oasis Park Recreation Center, 3850 E. Ave. S and at the Marie Kerr Park Recreation Center, 2723 Rancho Vista Boulevard. The league will run from April 13 to June 8.
Spots are available on a first come, first served basis. Early registration is encouraged.
Coed Volleyball League (Registration Jan. 21-Feb. 28)
The fee is $265 per team, plus $8 per game for the official. Teams will play one classification game prior to the start of league and a ten-game schedule. The league will run from March 19 through May 30.
Players must be at least 16 years old and there is a maximum of 10 players per team.
Games will be played on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6:15 to 10 pm at the Palmdale Oasis Park Recreation Center and at the Marie Kerr Park Recreation Center. Registration is available online at www.cityofpalmdale.org/playpalmdale (course number 14810).
