LANCASTER – A local photographer happened across this scene around 10:30 a.m. Thursday morning in the Stater Bros. parking lot at 1850 East Avenue J in Lancaster.
The alleged shoplifter apparently tried to make a break for it but was caught in the parking lot and pinned to the ground by store security*. The accused thief was eventually arrested for shoplifting when deputies arrived on scene, according to Lancaster Community Relations deputy Michael Rust. No further information was immediately available Thursday afternoon.

*Editor’s Note: We were told that the man apprehending the suspect is actually one of the store’s managers. We opted to leave the story as is, because in this particular photo the man appears to have taken on the role as “store security.”

I’m sure Mayor Parris will be very happy and this Stater Bros will not be on the Naughty list.

Lancaster has become such a joke. Between the uncontrolled violence, Section 8, schools and it’s leadership I’m sure somehow, someplace Jerry Springer is in behind the curtain saying, “Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain”
