LANCASTER – A teenager was jailed this morning after DNA evidence connected him to a Lancaster home burglary that occurred in July of 2012.
Anthony Donnquel Dorsey, 18, was identified through DNA that was recovered from the crime scene, according to a press release from the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station. The DNA connection was made on Feb. 7, and authorities issued an arrest warrant for Dorsey on Feb. 20, 2013.
Due to several previous contacts, Dorsey was well known to the Lancaster Station Burglary Suppression Team, and this knowledge led to a quick arrest once Dorsey was identified, according to Sgt. Jill Deschamps.
Dorsey was arrested around 9 a.m. Thursday at the Lancaster Juvenile Courthouse and booked at the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station on $50,000 bail.
Sheriff’s detectives are seeking the public’s help in identifying any other possible victims or witnesses.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Sgt. Deschamps at 661-948-8466. If you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
