PALMDALE – The Palmdale City Library is now providing free WiFi throughout the building for its customers.
“Bring your laptops, tablets or other devices, grab a good book and enjoy all that the Library has to offer,” said Palmdale Library Director Thomas Vose.
In addition to accessing email, Web sites and social media, Library customers will be able to access the Library’s free online resources, such as HelpNow homework assistance that provides “live” tutoring and Mango Languages, a language learning system that provides users with the opportunity to take foreign language or English as a Second Language (ESL) courses free of charge.
Mango Languages teaches actual conversation skills for a wide variety of languages, including Spanish, English, French, German, Japanese, Russian and even Mandarin Chinese—all for free!
Library customers will also be able to access the Library’s GotResumeBuilder, a free site to help create a quality resume; and America’s Newspapers, a digital newspaper collection covering papers across the country.
The Palmdale City Library is open seven days a week. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday, from 10 am to 8 pm; Friday and Saturday, from 10 am to 5 pm; and Sunday, from 1 to 5 pm. The Library is located at 700 E Palmdale Boulevard in Palmdale.
