Another illegal pot shop weeded out in Palmdale

PALMDALE – The City of Palmdale this week shut down another illegal marijuana dispensary, authorities said.

This past Tuesday, the city shut down All Greens, located on the 1600 block of Palmdale Boulevard, according to a city news release.

“Marijuana dispensaries are not allowed in the City of Palmdale and will not be tolerated,” said Palmdale Assistant Attorney Noel Doran. “All Greens was the latest dispensary found to be operating contrary to the City’s Municipal Code. The City will do everything in its power to swiftly shut these joints down.”

In the last few weeks, the City has shuttered several illegal dispensaries, including:

  • On the Greens on the 1300 block of East Palmdale Boulevard;
  • Big O Relief on 1645 East Palmdale Boulevard, Suite I; and
  • P.A.C.C. on 328 Palmdale Boulevard.

“The recent Supreme Court ruling affirmed what we already knew – that the City may completely prohibit medical marijuana dispensaries from operating within Palmdale,” Doran added. “All potential dispensary operators contemplating opening in Palmdale should be on notice that we take our City ordinances seriously and will aggressively pursue any operator who opens an illegal pot dispensary in Palmdale.”

  3. Instead of closing these so called pot shops, why dont they tax the hell out it so the city can get some type of funds from these facilities. Sounds like a big waste of time and funds to actively persue and shut these shops down.

    • I was the owner of a business next door to them, I immediately reported to the City Business office, the Sheriffs and the building owner…I lost my business because of the activity in and around the building, not to mention the horrific smell coming into my business. It took five months for them to get shut down, Why I’d like to know.

        • What a mean rude person you sound like. Not everyone wants to be around a bunch of weed smoking zombies. Not all pot heads are peaceful fun loving people. While there are many baby boomers who manage to work and smoke a little weed here and there, most kid weed smokers with and without medical marijuana cards, are non productive, lazy, self serving, entitled jerks. Yeah, my opinion :)

      • I’m sure they were in the process. It was a city ordinance and the CA laws are so poorly written they were probably trying to figure out how those applied. The supreme court ruling in Riverside just opened the door for them to immediately enforce the ordinance.
        I’m curious what type of business you had and other than the “smell” what specific impacts did it have that forced you to lose it?

  8. When will you learn that the pot shops are the cause of everything bad. Let me go to AV high and go to the north east intersection behind the school and hit one of the two liquor stores within thirty feet of each other. Are you ignorant or just stupid? If you take the put shops off the radar, I go to another city. If the city bans them, I go to a street dealer or grow my own. You cannot stop marijuana, no matter how hard you try. You will blow a shit load of money YOU don’t really HAVE. Petitions will be sent out, amendments will be made and countless other blocks will be created to piss off the corrupt police and politicians that feel that this its as bad as heroin. I laugh how the city says another illegal pot shop, its only illegal if the city bans them and cities used to be run by the citizens, but I have yet to vote on such a ban. You are blocking an inevitable force, you say they are gone but yet here I sit smoking bud I just got under the service of PACC. Your efforts are futile and resemble a group of spoiled children proved wrong by a smarter pupil. You need a hug and a joint.

  9. Weed is not a problem. The chemicals in spice are illegal, but some how they brought it back in a so called different form, which they call it poppouri or aroma therapy, which still is ingested, so I don’t understand how they can sell it?? I talked to a smoke shop and they said they don’t sell it because it kills people, and they don’t want to get sued. But there a some others that I know that sell it, and I want them to stop!! Because I know someone who smokes it and they can hardly walk and talk when there on it, It’s like there partially paralyzed. I worried about the kids that may be ingesting it too. This person bends over coughing and can’t breathe when they smoke it. The cigarette shop they buy it from sells pipes and wraps along with it. They know that people smoke it, but I hear they hide it in a special spot in there store, because they know that spice is illegal. This person has told me that they ran a red light while on it, and almost got into an accident, I can totally see this happening with this stuff. Marijuana doesn’t paralyze you or make you like a zombie that I can see. The other problem with this stuff is it doesn’t detect in a test. I really feel they need to stop these people from selling it, its worst than alcohol or weed. Maybe AV Times can put how to contact Noel Doran because I think they should focus there attention on this.

      I frequent these collectives occasionally myself and I assure you I am NOT riff-
      I am however very ill with an , as of yet, undisguised illness. It has caused an unexplained 57# weight loss and lymph node issues among other very uncomfortable symptoms. Because of the situation, much if the time I’m very anxious
      I have however ulcers and CHEMICAL MAN MADE “medicine” just exacerbates my stomach problems. Since I started using medical cannibus my weight loss stopped and I have put back on 23#!
      So my choice is the natural one. I thought as a U.S citizen I had the right of choice for my medical care!!
      By the way, why is it ok to have liquor stores on every corer on every block in every town? And by the way, what about those commercials showing everyone having such a great time while their drinking their alcohol? Our children see these… They see it on tv, billboards, movies!!!
      Wow….. Hypocritical wouldn’t you say? Especially since most dispensaries have uniformed guards and age limits. How does that hurt the community?
      I know…… Change the focus to the bars in town. THOSE keep me away from downtown Palmdale for fear of getting caught in the cross-fire of a fight! And I assure you, the violent behavior is fueled by alcohol……. Not marijuana!

Alcohol is legal and weed is NOT. Not hypocritical and no need for a change in focus. the law is the law and we all must live by it.   13. crazy how my Family in CO and friends in WA tell me that nothing has really changed with the legalization there…. still early but they said no increase in crimes…. still illegal dealers but they are not persued by law inforcement…. and that will probablt shrink when the commercial sale of THC products are able to be purchased in stores…. eventually it will be sold in stores next to booze and tabacco…. but will probably be sold in stores like the ABC stores in states that have laws against alcohal sold in regular store…..

      It is also a factor in lung cancer and brain cancer.

      • It has been four years since a Whipple procedure at Saint John’s in Santa Monica, stage two cancer. The reason I am living today is because of my not taking narcotics for over three years, when the plastic tubes came out of my chest and substituting diladud and morphine for marijuana. I was only going to the bathroom once every 10+ days for near a month. I was toxifying out and the doctors told me it was going to kill me.

        My MD at Saint Johns, has supported and written the prescription for this pancreatic cancer patient to eat, smoke, etc medical marijuana, because within 24 hours of its use the first time, I had and have consistent bowel movements daily, like clockwork!

        The medical marijuana is great! The problem fior this patient who is in the most serious of need; HIV, Liver Tumor, and Pancreatic Cancer. The medical marijuana businesses that left me throwing up outside their door, and the politicians who supported them by not acting or acting inappropriately, because I had ZERO money for medicine. I have been told by over 100 pharmacies when I have shown up or called that I should not even think about coming in without money. There have been a couple that have helped, but quite frankly, I have always been reminded of the BIG FAVOR they are doing for me, and how they are not required to do it, and I should not forget how lucky I am to even be considered for help, and the layers of guilt and bullshit, when in fact the language these pharmacies are operating under state laws defining a NON_Profit, something entirely different.

        The most seriously in need have been left to fend for themselves and the store owners for the most part, are solely in it for the profit and quite frankly do not care if they reach out to those who are in the most serious of pain and need. IT’S ALMOST LIKE POLITICIANS CONSPIRED WITH DRUG COMPANIES TO SCREW THIS UP. The language in which these pharmacies were to operate is supposed to be a group of patients who are helping patients. Instead it has turned in to government sanctioned organized crime, WHILE INFLICTING A MASSIVE AMOUNT OF PAIN AND DISCOMFORT!

        Now lets talk about the politicians who have never cared at all for the most serious in need, the politicians who for the most part are liers, cheats, and thieves them selves. People who simply do not have the capacity and ability to govern responsibly, should get the hell out. When you start upsetting the most serious in need, you have demonstrated the ability you possess to be cold, calculating, and not caring all at once.

        Morphine and diladud were shutting my system down, and I still had licensed doctors telling me it was all they could and would do. They wanted to write all the pain MED SCRIPTS and scripts like Zophren for nausea. That should be criminal in my case. The people who make laws that neglect and cause serious injury or pain, you can’t and will never legislate how I feel. I wish the you the same PAIN, DISCOMFORT, AND GENERAL NEGLECT, that this patient has received from you. You are ALL pieces of dung. You in my opinion, deserve to be in as much pain as possibly accessible to you. You deserve to have someone as phony and plastic as you to go through and witness your discomfort and then simply not give a damn.

        We live in a society that believes that it can dictate the fate of ill people by denying them, simply based on the current status quot of the law, for example the pot laws.

        People wonder how people with a heart and compassion, like myself, could possibly feel this way. Go through what I have gone through, speak to the politicians I have spoken to face to face and hear their lies and inability to give a straight honest answer. Throw up outside of as many pot stores as i have, with the knowledge that they really do not care.

        There needs to be a grass movement away from government involvement. One way we can show our displeasure is the have people put a sign in all of their businesses, we have the right to raise prices and discomfort levels to politicians and lawmakers who have no business telling the rest of us how to deal with pain and cancer.

        To drive this point home, if I were driving and came upon someone who needed help, and it were a politician or someone responsible for the decision making that brings the rest of us pain and discomfort, like people getting in the way of cancer patients trying to just get through the day, I would simply refuse to help you, it wouldn’t matter.

    • Although called “weed” it’s harder to grow than you think. And I think you can still get into quite a bit of trouble if you’re not a licensed (whatever that means) grower.
