LANCASTER – The BLVD will be heating up on Thursday nights, all summer long, with the Sierra Toyota Scion All-American Concert Series.
The 2013 Concert Series kicks off at 6 p.m. this Thursday (May 30) with Beatles cover band One Way Ticket.
“There is no other place in the Antelope Valley where people can specialty shop, listen to live music, dine, take in a show and purchase fresh produce all on the same downtown street,” said Lancaster Mayor R. Rex Parris in a city news release. “The Sierra Toyota Scion All-American Concert Series definitely makes The BLVD the most diverse gathering spot for people of all ages to enjoy.”
This summer’s performers cover the gamut of genres, including Latin flamenco, funk, R&B, jazz, rock, country, pop, salsa and island sounds.
“Each year, we want the concert series to have an appeal to every taste, ensuring the entire community feels connected to their BLVD,” said City Manager Mark Bozigian.
