PALMDALE – The Palmdale City Library will host a tournament for the game “Tekken Tag Tournament 2” at 5 p.m. this Wednesday, June 26 in the Library’s reading room.
“Our first video game tournament was a huge success, and we’re ready for our gamers to come out in full force to see who will emerge as the Tekken Tag champion of Palmdale!” said Palmdale City Library Director Thomas Vose.
Prizes will be available for the winners. This single-elimination, best of five tournament is free to everyone.
Registration is not necessary, but space is limited.
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is the eighth main installment in the Tekken fighting game series, originally released in Japanese arcades on September 14, 2011. Like the original Tekken Tag Tournament (1999), the game includes almost every character from past Tekken games, giving it the largest playable roster in a Tekken game to date. Players may choose either a team of two characters on each side or a solo character. It is rated T for teen.
The Palmdale City Library is open seven days a week. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 8 pm; Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm; and Sunday from 1 to 5 pm.
