Shooter sprays bullets at Lancaster home, no one hurt

LANCASTER – Gunfire erupted on Lancaster’s west side Monday afternoon when an unknown assailant fired shots into a home and then fled the scene, authorities said.

The shooting happened around noon at a home in the 44000 Block of Beech Avenue, according to Lancaster Community Relations deputy Miguel T. Ruiz.

No one in the home was injured, officials said.

“There were multiple shots fired, we don’t know how many at this time, but at this point, all the occupants of the house are okay,” Ruiz said.

Responding deputies had little information about what may have triggered the gunfire and have not identified any suspects at this time, Ruiz said, adding that he does not know if the gunman fled the area on foot or in a vehicle. There is no further information at this time.

Investigators are asking for the public’s help in solving the crime. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station at 661-948-8466. To remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-tips (8477).

  2. How in the bloody heck do you “SPRAY” bullets? Did they use an Aerosol Can?

    Note to the writer(s). Bullets are not “Sprayed,” they are “shot,” “discharged,” or “fired.” Bullets cannot be sprayed!

    • A quantity of small objects going through the air, i.e. bullets; you know, like from an automatic weapon .

  3. Yes they shot a house that is a conjoined duplex from front to back, 4 young girls and 3 adults who are not involved were occupying the rear unit. Thank God for grace as the shooters didn’t take that into account. Just dumb and ignorant!

  8. So.. Where is the eye in the sky when this type of stuff goes down? It’s not a surprise when this neighborhood has incidents like this pop off…. So why not focus that stupid plane over the area(s) where you can expect this kind of stuff to happen?

Come to find out it was all a lie and the guy lived in the house and they knew who it was….funny thing house has been empty since then, Thank God all 7 kids are GONE hopefully for EVER!!…SO I’m pretty sure the people in the house knew who and why!…deal gone wrong, p***ed off the wrong people…truth will come out sooner or later….all just more scum that needs to leave the AV…NOW and for good!!

  11. WOW, on Beech Street, one the GHETTO Streets. Gee I wonder if it was drug related since that street has the highest concentration of low lives and drugs. Not surprised.
