LANCASTER – The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors Tuesday unanimously approved a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of those responsible for the murder of Nicky Packard and Michael Sewell, Jr.
Packard, 33, and Sewell, 22, were shot to death around 4:45 a.m. on June 23, 2013 following a party on Hanstead Avenue in Lancaster.
The victims were part of a group that had just left the party and were congregating in front of a house down the street, according to investigators.
A verbal argument among the group turned into a physical altercation, which escalated into the shooting, investigator said.
Packard and Sewell were shot multiple times in the upper torso and pronounced dead at the scene.
Anyone with information on the murders is urged to contact Los Angeles County Sheriff Detectives Tim O’Quinn and Brian Schoonmaker at 323-890-5500.

There is a little relief that something is being done, they’re not being forgotten, as people we have got to take care of our family and friends and tell them we love them each and every day, not knowing what’s ahead of us, this was by far devastating and a tragic lost for family and friends life is as short as it comes, live it to the fullest and I can say Nick was doing just that. RIP Nick. This low life will be found and prosecuted rather its by the hand of a man or the hand of God.
