Palmdale Guy says
So now a bunch if strong arm extortionists are considered “influential”?
Letlow says
You say strong arm extortionists, I say civil rights activists. Which one of us is right? Who knows? It’s all a matter of perspective… But you can’t deny they are influential. They “influenced” the sheriff’s dept, the DOJ, and the mayor of Lancaster didn’t they? Let’s give credit where credit is due, shall we?
Rooney says
Since most of the crime is on the East side, can’t you find a place on the west side of Palmdale? I am not going out at night in the dark alone. What’s wrong with a Saturday afternoon??
Palmdale Guy says
Really? Who do they really represent? Most are a cross section of activists suing the sheriff and the city and were put there to patronize them and capitulate to a small vocal group of extremists
OT says
Really. We’re so much better off without them damn community activists!
How much money has the community had to pay out with Baca and his 2nd in command (who are now running against each other, and can’t bad mouth the other quick enough with they’re shared nightmare the LASD has become)running the department? Millions in the last 2 years. And we don’t even know about the “in-house” settlements officers are getting out of the dept. We got nothing better to do with that cash!
The whole pay-to-play scandals. Bernice (A To tall Paul devote) and her drug dealing boyfriends. Sure! She was the only bad captain.

The beatings among deputies during a Xmas party, the shootings at a park
after a night of partying and the punishing of the few deputies who tried to bring such incidents to light who were then punished. Yeah, those LASD sure don’t need any oversight. It’s not like they’ve lost any exceptional recruits. The type that score 100% on ALL of their test are a dime a dozen. Easy to replace!

And I’m sure they were just being boys when they hide a FBI informant from the FBI moving him from one jail to another so he couldn’t testify. The sales of police hardware to 3rd world nations and the missing rifles and other weaponry shouldn’t bother anyone either. Deputies have a right to make a few bucks on the side right?
Certainly no reason to have any kind of oversight committee. Because when you give a man a gun and a badge and complete authority over their fellow man, I’m sure abusing that power never happens! The DOJ and FBI made it allll up!
Sheep!
