LANCASTER – Two local businesses have teamed up to serve residents who need care, but cannot afford it.
From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the second Friday of each month, local chiropractor Dr. Andrea Mills will provide complimentary chiropractic services at The Met Center AV, located at 1113 West Avenue M-4, Suite D, in Palmdale.
Mills owns Correction Chiropractic in Lancaster and has hosted health workshops throughout the community and at local stores like The Whole Wheatery. She said her personal mission is to help others and to be a positive force in the community.
“There is no question that there are people out there who are truly in need, and who truly cannot afford chiropractic care,” Mills said. “I have many opportunities to do overseas healthcare related missions work, but I would prefer to focus on the people that are in need right here in our backyards, who have fallen on hard times and who are also truly in need of chiropractic care.”
“Dr. Andrea approached me with this idea a while back, and being uniquely aware of the struggles that some of our local folks have obtaining healthcare, I really wanted to help Dr. Andrea get this going,” said Met Center AV owner Vernita Scott-Flanton. She said Met Center AV is proud to be a part of Mills’ mission and vision in the Antelope Valley.
To make an appointment for the free chiropractic service, contact Mills’ office at 661-949-8700.

I noticed your comments mentioned a Dr. Kennedy…I did not see that name in the article above only Dr. Andrea Mills. I was wondering if you were talking about another doctor located some place else. Do you know any thing about Dr. Mills? I have never been to a chiropractor and been having trouble with my back and wanted to find a place to go to.

Isn’t this the same building where that fraud Dr. Frye had her business? I was one of her ” victims” ( but then she moved rather abruptly with all the files after sending mine to Clearwater Florida a ” spinal institute ” see clean air and water act 1965 ). Good way to get those patients into “rehab” huh? Not so much about ” helping” people as it is ” using” them. So what do you think about the West NileVirus? Too bad some use chiropractic falsely since true chiropractic ( such as Palmer) could help so many people with the problems we are faced with today. I recommend Dr. Kennedy to anyone in pain or being told they need surgery for slipped/ herniated disc, spinal problems, headaches, or even cancer.
