Lancaster resident Trevor J. Brown came across this rare sight late this afternoon near the intersection of 20th Street West and Avenue J. The fender-bender happened when the flow of traffic going southbound on 20th Street West stopped abruptly to yield to a passing emergency vehicle. The patrol car was moving at a low rate of speed, but still wasn’t able to stop in time and ended up rear-ending a Mercedes. Paramedics were called as a precaution but all appeared to be okay. The lady in the Mercedes appeared uninjured and left the scene in the vehicle pictured.
“I am just glad everyone was okay, and it looked worse than it actually was,” Brown writes.
