LANCASTER – Five suspects were arrested Wednesday for their involvement in the beating, “pistol whipping” and robbery of a victim, whom they thought was a witness in a pending felony case, authorities said.
The following is the press release from the Lancaster Sheriff Station:
At approximately 10 p.m. on Tuesday October 15, Lancaster deputies responded to the area of 5th Street East and Avenue I regarding a robbery call. When deputies arrived, they contacted two male adult victims.
It was determined that an assault and robbery had occurred by a group of unknown adults. One victim was punched, kicked and “pistol-whipped”. The injured victim had personal property taken and was believed to be targeted based on his perceived involvement as a witness in a pending felony case.
The investigation was led by the Lancaster Robbery Suppression Team. Through investigative techniques, a search warrant was obtained and served at a residence in the 500 block of East Jackman Avenue on Wednesday morning (Oct. 16).
After further investigation at the location, five suspects were arrested due to their involvement in the incident.
Arrested were:
- Antonio Hubbard, 21, of Bellflower
- Travion Hubbard, 20, of Lynwood
- Weldon Spurling, 28, of Long Beach
- Monique Spirlin, 19, of Lancaster
- Robert McNab, 29, of Long Beach.
All five were booked for robbery, witness Intimidation, and additional parole or probation violations.
Anyone with additional information regarding this incident is urged to contact the Lancaster Station Robbery Suppression Team at 661-948-8466.

It will only get worse!! the Sheriff’s hands keep getting tied due the criminals claiming racial profiling, It’s not profiling if you are committing the crimes, last jail tour I took there were 80% of color (not Just Black before someone says something stupid) you are going tell me they are all innocent? Somehow i just do not believe that.

Come to my house to rob or intimidate…leave with a sharp stick in your eye. I don’t care where they come from, these creatures must be stamped out for the rest of us to live peaceful, meaningful lives.
