PALMDALE – Residents will have the opportunity to learn about the Constitution, see how the court system works, and rule on the great issues of the day at the Palmdale City Library’s Mock Supreme Court.
The event, which is free and open to adults and older teens, is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 5 p.m. at the Palmdale City Library, located at 700 East Palmdale Boulevard.
Participants may serve as justices or lawyers and use the Constitution to rule on cases involving such issues as gay marriage and gun control in a friendly, neutral atmosphere.
“Now is your chance to have a positive, cordial and substantive discussion of the issues, and to learn more about the Supreme Court,” said Library Director Thomas Vose. “We want to hear what you have to say!”
The Palmdale City Library is open seven days a week. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 8 pm; Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm; and Sunday from 1 to 5 pm.
