PALMDALE – Two people were transported to a local hospital Thursday afternoon after an Antelope Valley Transit Authority bus collided with a car in a Palmdale intersection, authorities said.
The crash happened around 1:15 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 12 in the intersection of Technology Drive and Trade Center Drive.
A 2000 Saturn LS1 was traveling northbound on Trade Center Drive, while an AVTA bus carrying 16 passengers was traveling westbound on Technology Drive, according to Zone Deputy John Gilbert of the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station.
“A collision took place between the Saturn and the bus in the intersection of Technology Dr. and Trade Center Dr. The driver of the Saturn and one occupant of the bus were transported to Palmdale Regional Medical Center,” Gilbert stated.
There is a two-way stop at the intersection, with stop signs posted on Trade Center Drive.
The incident remains under investigation by the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station Traffic Detail. No further information on the crash was immediately available.

The Saturn had a stop sign, and the bus did not. In fact, the Saturn had 2 stop signs, one on the curb, and one in the center of the street. I’m guessing it’s the Saturn’s fault this time.

its not always AVTA’s fault, stop trying to imply it is.
