LANCASTER – Two men accused of snatching a cellphone from a victim on the Antelope Valley College campus were caught and arrested shortly after the incident on Tuesday.
Nineteen-year-old Lamont Paige and 21-year-old Tristian Conrad were arrested for grand theft person and booked at the Lancaster Station jail on $25,000, according to a press release from the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station. Read it below:
[Around 11:38 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 28], AV College Deputies were notified of a cellphone theft on the college campus as the victim was using the cellphone.
Sheriff’s personnel quickly apprehended one suspect near the intersection of 30th St West and Ave K.
Responding Lancaster Deputies established containment in a nearby neighborhood to locate the second suspect, who was found a short time later.
Both suspects were not college students and were identified as Suspects Tristian Conrad and Lamont Paige. The stolen cellphone was also recovered.
Both suspects were arrested for grand theft person and booked at the Lancaster Station Jail.
