LANCASTER – Three 17-year-old boys were arrested for felony assault Monday for egging a 60-year-old homeless woman as she sat praying on a sidewalk in Lancaster, authorities said.
A patrolling Lancaster Sheriff’s sergeant witnessed the alleged assault, which occurred around 12:40 p.m. on Sierra Highway near Jackman Avenue, according to Lancaster Sheriff’s Station Community Relations deputy Miguel Ruiz.
“[A] teen was seen forcefully throwing an uncooked egg directly at the victim while she was praying,” Ruiz stated. “The victim was struck directly on her torso and she complained of pain.”
Deputies detained the alleged egg thrower and two other male teenagers who were in a nearby vehicle.
The three 17-year-old boys were booked for felony assault and conspiracy, and they were transported to Sylmar Detention Facility for housing, Ruiz stated.
The victim did not need further medical treatment, according to Ruiz.
“Additional video evidence gathered during the investigation leads deputies to believe other prior incidents had occurred,” Ruiz stated.
Any additional victims are urged to come forward by contacting the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station at 661-948-8466. To remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.

Damn this really sucks I barely knew the whole story and it is their fault noone forced them to do anything cant blame anyone not even the parents cuz at the end of the day no one knows anything unfortunately one of the boys is my brother.
Eric says
It does suck. 40 years ago these boys would’ve received a severe ass-whooping from their parents and been forced to apologize. Likely assist the lady in some manner or other, as well. Instead they get a felony, which will truly hamper them throughout life. Tell your brother to get squared away NOW, and he better not sneeze wrong the rest of his life, or the State will send him down a real rocky road.

BULL-SH*T! 40 years ago it would of been the thugs who now run Lancaster throwing the eggs. And their parents would of just said “boys will be boys”. How do you think Rex and gang got started in their bullying ways?
Tara says
Why were these kids Not in school?

Theses troublemakers are very luck they did not pick the wrong target and get there stupid selfs shot.
AV Folk says
Using the logic of previous posters on previous stories, the police must not have any evidence or they wouldn’t be asking for more information lol

I was assaulted (egged) around midnight while trying to be a Good Samaritan. Someone lost their purse and it was spread all over the street. My gf and I stopped to pick up all the scattered items which included a cell phone and social security card. While we recovered the items a car came around the corner and someone inside the vehicle assaulted me with raw eggs. I didn’t get a chance to see their plate #. Right after I went to Lancaster Sherrifs station to turn in the purse and report the assault. They told me they can’t do anything because I didn’t get the license plate. Even though I gave them a description of the vehicle. I felt they didn’t care about what happened. Unfortunately I now think twice before being a Good Samaritan. The deputy told me ” No good deed goes unpunished”. Smh.

Let me tell you about my good semaratin incident in Lancaster. About 3 years ago I found a woman’s purse behind 7-11 on Sierra Hwy while leaving the store after purchasing some batteries. I picked the purse up and walked back to the front of the store and gave it to two sherries deputies sitting out front drinking coffee. The thanked me for the purse and then had me put my hands on the car and searched me and ran a warrant check on me. Standard procedure they said. After 10 minutes of embarrassment I was told I could go now and they would turn the purse in at the station. Only in Lancaster would this happen.

Is there any way to send some donation to the victim. Even a meal.
Dolores says
Is there a description of the vehcile they were riding in. My husband was standing on the coner by our home and a White car drove past him and they through a water bottle hitting him in the chest, then drove off through the desert with dirt flying everywhere, so he was unable to get the license plate #.

It’s a little late don’t you think? They are already housed at public expense.

david—It’s not too late, they’re looking for more victims.

This hurts me to my core. This world is heartless!

its not their fault – they are taught by their peers when they first start school that anything “evil” is cool – to them, “hurting people” is fun and cool – they need to be “untaught” this behavior or they will end up being another prison inmate.
Lancaster Resident says
It’s not “their” fault is exactly what is wrong with this world today … right along with those doing the atrocities.
maria says
It is their fault you dont know them or anything of them.
Eric says
It is their fault. They played the pipe, now pay the piper.
IZ says
It is their fault!!They are not babies. They know right from wrong and they need to be held accountable for their actions. There is no excuse for this type of behavior.
as says
It is most definately their fault. They’re pretty old. Almost adults. Anyway, they most likely have parents who should have taught them that what their peers think is cool is not right.
12:40 pm. School is still in isn’t it? (I think) Up to no good instead of staying in school. No bueno.
John says
No accountability eh? Hey yosza- spoken like a true blue bleeding heart liberal.
Joe says
At 17 yrs old they know the difference between right and wrong. It is their fault. You saying it is not their fault gives any jerk the right to any disgusting behavior and not take responsibility for it.
