PALMDALE- The City of Palmdale will begin construction on Monday, May 12, on a storm drain project, located along 35th Street East, between Avenue Q and Palmdale Boulevard.
Detour routes will be posted, and detours will be in effect at various times beginning May 12, 2014, and ending on or about August 2014.
Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes when traveling through this area.
Local traffic will be allowed within the detoured area but will not be permitted to access 35th Street East from Avenue Q.
Traffic flow in the area will increase along 30th Street East and 40th Street East (both north/southbound directions).
Please note that residences, businesses, and schools along 30th Street East, 35th Street East, and 40th Street East will be affected by the detour and the resulting traffic pattern changes.
For questions regarding the detour, contact Kevin Kranjack, Superintendent Toro General Engineering, at 805-483-3635.
For all other project questions, contact Mike Livingston at the City of Palmdale at 661-267-5312.

We don’t need another storm drain construction but rather public education in trash disposal or enormous fines for littering.
