Do they teach how the 4th Amendment applies to your car and is routinely violated by the police? The key word in the amendment is “Effects”. Your car is an effect, and therefore subject to protection by the 4th. I don’t care what Pennsylvania’s Supreme Court said.

Martha Davidson says
Pennsylvania ruling says, “Now if police officers have probable cause– a good faith belief that a crime has been committed, they can search your car without having to first obtain a warrant,”
Pennsylvania had a stricter interpretation of the 4th Amendment than many other states until the new court ruling. It is my opinion your fourth amendment rights are still intact. Officers still need probable cause so don’t give them PC to search and you have nothing to fear from any Officer who is following the law.
It is also my opinion that the class being taught to the teens is not a soap box class to air topics such as yours. It’s about SAFE driving to save lives and for them to learn from others mistakes. There’s plenty of time later, after they learn to drive and stay alive to delve into legalities of searches.
