I was at the 99 cent store on palmdale blvd when it came.. wearing shorts and a T-shirt.. I was soaked by the time I made it to my car. Had to drive through a huge pool of water at Q and 10th e. to get home… so glad car didnt stall..

People were driving extra crazy today even when the rain stopped. As I followed a Suburban out of a parking lot, I thought he was drunk or on a cell phone as he sloooowly drove in front of me, ran over the curb as he turned right at the light and then meandered along on his way.
Then, a car just had to pass me on the 14 as I approached the 10th Street West exit by the Mall only to cut right back in front of me to take the exit. Then, he/she/it drove south in the middle lane with its right turn signal on as he pulled into the ‘left’ lane.
It was just odd today. Maybe not. Every day, people drive like idiots.

People in Palmdale all need drivers lessons they do drive over the speed limits and cutting people off barely by a thread. They have angels on their shoulders because with the way this city drives you would think more accidents.

Hadn’t been more than 5 minutes of rain when I was on the 14 yesterday. Pickup truck comes FLYING up behind me, then starts whipping through the lanes. Drivers out here are bad, but my god, a drop of rain and it is just out right chaotic.

In past years when it snowed a couple inches, I would’t leave the house. Southern Californians don’t know how to drive in the snow and I don’t want to be anywhere near them to be T-boned or rear-ended.
I would love it when someone in a truck or SUV would slide into a ditch because, y’know, they think they are impervious to the laws of physics.
They think anti-lock brakes will stop them on a dime and/or a high-center of gravity vehicle, which lets them sit up high like an ‘eagle’, won’t roll over. And, that airbags prevent accidents.
I’m always amused when I see news videos of blizzards in North Dakota or similar places showing mostly cars on the highways while in Southern California, SUVs are needed for ‘off the road’ adventures into the mall parking lots. Same with big 4×4 trucks that have never had anything in their beds.
In fact, I recall once noticing that there were more big, 4×4 trucks lined up in bar or fast food parking lots than at HOME DEPOT!!!
Funny people.

They drive like that with rain or w/o rain. It wasn’t long after the downpour that I started hearing sirens. Probably for automobile crashes. I know it causes trouble for many but, I really enjoyed the rain. Live well, drive safely, and enjoy the rain.

@Daniel Yeah, I forgot abut the sirens. I heard them 2 or 3 times in different locations.
I doubt if there were ‘brushfires’ going on.
BTW Why does it always rain shortly AFTER there are wildfires causing mudslides? God is quite a jokester.
