PALMDALE – There are still a few seats available for the City of Palmdale’s bus excursion to the Glendale Centre Theatre for a performance of “The Music Man” on Saturday, June 7.
A hit Broadway musical in 1957, “The Music Man” tells the story of Professor Harold Hill, a glib traveling salesman who descends upon the town of River City, Iowa in the weeks preceding the Fourth of July celebration of 1912.
Registration is $24 for Palmdale residents and $29 for non residents. Proof of residency is required. The bus will leave the Palmdale Transportation Center, 39000 Clock Tower Plaza, at 11 am and return at 7 pm.

The City requires a minimum of 20 registrants for an excursion to take place. Individuals who wish to purchase more than eight tickets for any one trip must contact the excursion supervisor. Cancellations must be made two weeks in advance of excursion. The name of each person attending, address, phone number, emergency contact, and each minor child’s birth date are required. An adult must accompany anyone under age 18.

Designed to both entertain and educate, the Sawdust Art Festival in Laguna Beach draws visitors worldwide. Visitors are invited to stroll along sawdust-covered paths through a handcrafted village of fine arts and superb craftsmanship. The festival features demonstration booths, outdoor cafes and live musical entertainment.
Bye Bye Birdie – July 26, 10 am – 6 pm, $40R/$46NR
Before Beatle-Mania, there was the first, the original Conrad Birdie! Now Conrad is joining the Army and America is going Birdie-crazy, when Cabrillo Music Theatre brings back one of the most popular musicals to the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza. Bye Bye Birdie combines humor, dance, nostalgia and satire with songs such as ‘Put On A Happy Face,’ ‘The Telephone Hour,’ ‘Kids’ and ‘A Lot Of Livin’ To Do.’
