LANCASTER – Loved ones are hosting a car wash fundraiser this Saturday to cover the memorial service for Marc Spinner, the 27-year-old man shot to death last month in his Lancaster home.
The day-long fundraiser starts at 8 a.m., Saturday, July 12 at Meece Car Audio, located at 169 West Avenue J-5 in Lancaster.
Donations of all sizes are also welcomed at http://www.gofundme.com/avbouk.
Spinner, described by friends as “an amazing person who would help anyone in need,” was found dead June 28 in his Lancaster home in the 43800 block of David Street.
The shooting occurred around 2:05 a.m., and two males were seen running from the house immediately following the shooting, according to Sheriff’s homicide detectives.
The motive for the shooting is still under investigation. However, family members believe Spinner was shot by thieves who broke into the home.

An update on the car wash. With the help of everyone we were able to raise over $1000. Thanks to Jeff Mercer who let us use his location for this event. It was a great turn out And I felt so blesses to be part of it.

Omg….I cant believe I missed this…I love u marc u were one of my most cherished customers …u inspired me everytime u sat in my chair and my condulences to josh and cameron and mom….I know how important his family was to him and I would just like to say that Marc was one of the strongest, determined, hardworking,responsible encouraging supportive, stand up politecand compassionate humble souls I was blessed to encounter its been alot of years and no matter where I was if I changed shops Marc was always loyal and if I called he would be in that chair….I have been touched by you marc I always knew u were an angel….i am truly devistated your gone, but Marc u could never be forgotten, u left such a a beautuful impression on this world….r.i.p
