PALMDALE – Detectives are searching for the assailant who stabbed a man after a fist fight on Palmdale Boulevard Tuesday afternoon.
The incident began around 12:27 p.m. near the Bank of America on the 800 block of East Palmdale Boulevard, according to Lt. Wright of the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station.
“We got a call that a male was stabbed… Units responded and took an assault with a deadly weapon report and transported [the victim] to the hospital,” Wright said, adding that the victim’s condition was unknown but he had not passed away as of late Tuesday afternoon.
Witnesses said the street fight started near the B of A, but the fighters ended up at the 7-Eleven store on Palmdale Boulevard and Sierra Highway.
According to witnesses, the victim collapsed on the floor of the 7-Eleven, while the assailant cleaned his hands with paper towels, tossed them in a trash can and then took off running northbound on 8th Street East. This information was not confirmed by Sheriff’s officials.
A westbound lane on Palmdale Boulevard, between Sierra Highway and 9th Street East, was closed to traffic all Tuesday afternoon and into the evening as the Sheriff’s Department’s Crime Lab investigated the scene.
A trail of blood on the north side of Palmdale Boulevard could be seen from the Bank of America all the way to the entrance of the 7-Eleven store.
A complete description of the suspect was not immediately released. Detectives are still investigating the incident and are asking anyone with information to contact the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station at 661-272-2400.

Hey, Miffed American,
I feel your sadness at the demise of Palmdale. That was my growing up place in my young life through my teens. 70’s and early 80’s. Just imagine the difference for me. My lifelong friend still lives there…. Born and raised, and she is almost 50 years old. That poor little town. It makes me sad.

F this place is all that’s left to say.. There is no hope to make this place better! It is over, time for the good ones still left alive to pack it up and leave it for the thugs..good luck trying to shine your turns of a city and your 32% crime rate drop. What a hole this place is because of all the illegals and gangsters. They can have it. I’m out.

Section 8 ruined this town! Welfare should be removed from the a.v then it would be back to normal.

That fight moved 250 feet and involved a knife, nobody helped anybody? It will be interesting to get more details.
I shop in Palmdale at times… I have to check out everybody I see, thinking they are going to play the knockout game on me or rob/kill me or something. I wonder how long it will be before my day comes to be attacked?

Finally, Something on that block that is even more piercing than the piercing rudeness of the employees at the B of A.

Well, I sure hope his DNA is on file. What an absolute idiot and in this case, that is a good thing. Our society has truly gone off the deep end. I remember when Palmdale was a nice place to call home back in 1991 when we moved there. They even had no loitering period on the doors of 7/11 which made it really nice. Now it’s a Ghetto from one end to the other.
