LANCASTER, CA – The Children’s Center of the Antelope Valley is gearing up to present its “Hot 100” car show with a growing line up of eye-catching cars for a great cause.
The car show will feature beautifully restored and maintained classic or vintage cars – otherwise known as ‘eye candy for car enthusiasts’! Entrants include a 2014 Corvette Stingray, a 1962 Lotus 7, and a 2011 Aston Martin Vantage v12.
This event is free for spectators and will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20 at Caesar’s Plaza Building, located at 42135 10th Street West in Lancaster.
A $50 tax-deductible entry fee will be charged for every car in the show, and the “Best in Show” will win the $1,000 grand prize. Additional prizes will include a $750 cash prize for 2nd Place, $500 for 3rd Place, and a special Children’s Choice Award.
The event will also feature a Chili Cook-Off sanctioned by the Chili Appreciation Society International (CASI).
The Antelope Valley’s best chili cooks can enter their recipes for $25, and attendees can take the taste bud challenge for only $5.
Music, games, food and an opportunity to win a brand new Mitsubishi vehicle from Camacho Mitsubishi in a “Roll the Dice” game will round out the event.
The “Hot 100” car show encourages quality time with friends and family… all for the benefit of children who have experienced abuse and trauma. Ninety percent of every dollar raised goes directly to the care of an abused child.
