ONE DAY
One day you’ll see the best of me,
What I can be.
Oh yes, you’ll see,
While you’re standing there,
Staring at the concrete.
One day you’ll know,
My name will blow,
And I will glow
Brighter than the sun can be,
Bigger than you’ll ever think.
One day you’ll see the best of me.

Enjoyed seeing all the lovely paintings. Congratulations to the winner of the painting, The Saddle, it’s a great painting. The young man who wrote the winning poem was remarkable for his young age. I loved his poem. Thank you City of Palmdale for encouraging and sharing all the accomplished artists with the community.

Congratulations Steven on your outstanding poem. I am very honored to have been awarded 1st place for “The Saddle”. Sadly I had to leave before the winners were announced. I am very appreciative for the award, and disappointed I did not get to shake hands with our great Mayor, Jim Ledford. I’ve never had the pleasure of formally meeting him in person. I hope to be able to some day. Thank you, judges.
Sincerely,
Teddi Bandt
