ACTON – The Acton Farmers Market is experiencing a revitalization but needs the support of the community if it is to thrive.
The Farmers Market opens on Tuesdays, from 4 to 7 p.m., at 3563 Sierra Highway in Acton (the empty lot next to Crown Valley Pharmacy). The Acton Farmers Market runs through October 14.

Free gardening class this Tuesday!
Acton Farmers Market is hosting a free Fall/Winter Gardening Class this Tuesday, Sept. 16 at 5 p.m.
CJ’s Organic Farm and Abundant Earth Farms will co-host a gardening class with tips on gardening in the coming season. They will cover what to plant in cooler weather, as well as how to build an inexpensive hoop house. There also will be a gardening project for kids. Raffle prizes will include organic potted herbs, organic worm castings fertilizer, and all natural soaps.
A farmers market is a venue for fresh, local produce and other products, and provides a direct link between the community and farmer. Ideally, it should reflect the unique supply and demand of the location, and cannot survive without the support of the community.
