PALMDALE – The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday doubled the reward to $20,000 for information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of the man accused of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl in a Palmdale Denny’s bathroom on New Year’s Day.
The suspect is believed to be a local panhandler known as “Shrink,” who was recorded on surveillance cameras from the restaurant. He is described as white, probably 18 to 20 years old, around 5 feet and 8 inches tall, weighing approximately 150 pounds and with blond hair. At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing an orange shirt and dark colored shorts.
The alleged assault took place around 4:30 p.m., January 1, 2014, at the Denny’s restaurant in the 37000 block of 47th Street East (near Avenue S) in Palmdale.
According to sheriff’s detectives, a man entered the women’s restroom and attacked and sexually assaulted a 10-year-old girl as she exited one of the stalls. The attacker fled when another person entered the restroom, detectives said.
