LANCASTER – It’s that time of year again… The BooLVD Halloween and Harvest Festival will be held this Saturday, October 25, from 5 to 9 p.m., on Lancaster Boulevard, between Beech and Gadsden Avenue.
The fifth annual celebration will feature live entertainment on two stages and many family-friendly attractions, including:
- Carnival games,
- Spooky train rides,
- Costume contests,
- Pumpkin decorating; and
- Trick-or-Treating with The BLVD merchants starting at 5 p.m. (while supplies last).
New to this year’s festivities will be a haunted maze at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center dubbed “Trail of the Dead.” Tickets to Trail of the Dead are $5 and can be purchased at the LPAC box office.

This place gets worse every year.
Guy at the tattoo shop giving out candy was cussing in front of our young children
Crowded, nothing else to do in town and since this is free-over crowding.
Very little in way of food and drinks. Charged $1 for just one cup of ice along with the can of soda I bought.
Security was OK. Park Rangers did great as they were spread out, watching. Sheriff volunteers were good, all over the place. The Sheriff Deputies were HORRIBLE! They hire the most insecure deputies for this duty? All they did was congregate with each other in groups and stayed that way. 5 together over here, 6 in a group over there. Joking and playing. Wow, glad the Park Rangers were.
A few rides for kids, some took tickets, some you had to pay direct to the vendor. Go figure why.
All in all, very crowded, long lines even early on. Not much else to attract anyone.
