Couple re-arrested, charged in Boron infant’s death

BORON – A 27-year-old woman and her former live-in boyfriend have been charged with murdering the woman’s 1-year-old son more than four years ago.

Stephanie Nicole Bramlett and 29-year-old Adam Parrish are each charged with murder, child abuse causing great bodily injury, torture, and willful cruelty to a child, according to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office.

The charges stem from the death of Bramlett’s baby, Tristan, who died in 2010 after long term physical abuse, according to a press release from the Kern County Sheriff’s Office.

“On July 5, 2010, at about 2 p.m., Kern County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a child not breathing at 26601 Prospect Space #8 in Boron. When they arrived, paramedics were on scene treating 1-year-old Tristan Bramlett. Tristan was later airlifted to Loma Linda Medical Center and treated for head injuries. It was also determined that Tristan showed signs of injuries consistent with long term physical abuse. Tristan died at Loma Linda Medical Center on July 7, 2010,” the press release states.

Bramlett had moved in with Parrish in a Boron trailer park about three weeks prior to Tristan’s death. Both were initially arrested on suspicion of willful cruelty to a child. Two other juveniles living with the couple, both of whom displayed signs of physical abuse, were taken into protective custody. However, Bramlett and Parrish were later released from police custody.

“Throughout the last four years, Sheriff’s Office homicide detectives have continued to actively investigate the death of Tristan. On October 1, 2014, detectives were able to obtain arrest warrants for both Adam Parrish and Stephanie Bramlett charging them with the murder of Tristan,” the Kern County press release states.

Parrish was arrested Thursday, Nov. 6 in Lancaster, and Bramlett was arrested Oct. 27 in Anaheim.

Both were booked into the Kern County Jail with bail for each set at more than $2 million.

  1. Well I will say this… I know Stephanieand as long as i have known her she’s been a straight up dope fiend. Always getting daddy to bail her out of jail…hell the bitch was the one who snitched my name and room number to cops after my ex and our friend said nothing for 2 hours. She’sgone on to have 1 possibly 2 more kids she COULDNT KEEP CUZ CPS WILL NOT ALLOW HER TO. MAY JUSTICE FINALLY REIGN ON THAT MURDERING PIECE OF CRAP. Adam I do not know so I can’t judge him but that girl…well her problems mentally are her own creation. She had no bad childhood she’s been spoiled but tells be to everyone else. I hope she gets what she deserves. Only if they give her death let it be by gas or electrocute her…she liked the needle too much and would most likely enjoy that

  2. I am the father of Tristan, not by blood since we took the DNA test. But I thought he was mine since thats what Stephanie claimed. This actually haunted me that nothing happened to them, but now. Justice is served. Thank god. They both deserve the death penalty as far as im concerned but life in prison will be just as bad. And someone in the system will kill them if they dont kill themselves first.

  3. Amazing, all these jumps to conclusion. It is true that it took so long to make these arrests because of lack of evidence. The evidence is still, at best, weak. I know Adam, I know Stephanie, and I visited their residence in Boron. I don’t even know what happened for sure, but I can tell you unequivocally that they are not vicious, abusive monsters.

    • Adam Parrish & Stephanie Bramlett are the personification of EVIL! If they didn’t BEAT HIM TO DEATH then who did ? The 3 year old boy or Tristan’s twin sister? Stephanie either participated or allowed him to kill her baby. For those heinous reasons they both should get life sentences with no parole.
      Just because they had bad childhoods doesn’t give them the right to brutalize, torture & kill a baby boy. I wouldn’t waste any more time defending those two MONSTERS . Hopefully they will be banished to hell on judgement day but until then let them ROT in prison .CPS should be investigated for not removing the twins after receiving numerous calls from roommates , friends & family . RIP sweet boy Tristan.

  4. Well, I’ve got news for all of you! None of you know what your talking about! I know Adam and he did NOT beat this child. So you need to keep your opinions to yourself until you know the REAL TRUE facts about this case. Fair enough? Thanks…

  5. They should have beat them to death. Gods children are sanctified, you can ruin the world just dont f with his children. Wiccan, satanist, doesnt matter. If you do rituals or sacrifice a child the lord will come down on you. Albeit on his own time but you dont want to be on the wrong end of his judgement for he is a glorious god but he is also very vicious.

    • Because unfortunately, the legal system has been abused by politicians, police and civilians more than it has been used correctly it would seem. We are so disconnected from our communities and the communities surrounding us, that we need legal checks just so that things can continue to function. The real solution here is being involved in one’s community, not passing judgement on whole communities for a few bad eggs, and building strong ties with ANYONE in your community, so that we can help prevent this, and be able to report when it really does happen. Unfortunately, police are so trigger happy, the good cops have lost abilities to intervene in these situations, and the DAs have an even harder time charging these people when they lack witnesses, evidence and support from their community. If everyone would spend 2 hours a day improve their relations with their community instead of watching television, who knows, maybe her neighbors would have seen this coming, or made a positive enough impression on these two people to where the situation would have never happened, the latter of course being the best possible solution. Let us use this sad instance as a beacon to us all to go out into the world, do not fear your neighbor or those in your community, do not let the news scare you, and instead work to rehabilitate our community instead of further dividing it by profiling people by the way they look. This may seem like it is a rant, but it is all heavily connected, and if you can see that, it is your responsibility to go out into the world and help however you can. Black, white, pacific islander, latino, hispanic, rich, poor, gay, straight, Christian, Sikh, Muslim, Jewish, Atheist, liberal or conservative, these are all just labels that describe one aspect of ourselves, but we cannot continue to let ANYTHING separate us from developing strong but flexible communities, something that has been lacking in America for decades too long. Lets work on making American be a label that means something again, and then let us work on Human being the only label that matters. The world is not lost, it is just filled with people too lazy and scared to make the little changes that really add up into a better world for a children. Recycle your waste, rehabilitate your criminals, realize your worth and that of your community. One love everybody!

      • The comment above was a little winded. The article here does not give much detail. Usually, when it takes four years to charge someone with a crime it is because there is not enough evidence to get them for the “big” charge. The couple could’ve been arrested for smaller charges but the D.A. wants to really stick it to ’em. Especially when the crime is against a child. More than likely, after a four year investigation, the detectives found more than enough evidence to charge them and the D.A. will convict them. I’m sure that when the details are released it will show that this young lady and her boyfriend had some sort of crazy alibi that frustrated the detectives who wanted nothing more than to take them in. They will go away for awhile and usually the wait is worth it.

    • The pentagram is not just for satanist. The pentagram is also used in the Wiccan culture, which is what I practice. Either way people like her have no place within the peaceful culture of Wiccan folks. So perhaps she wears the pentagram for her satanist practices. Just wanted to point out the fact the pentagram is not just for satan.

    • The pentagram is pagan, so if you are a believer in the God of Israel, and that He sent His only begotten Son to willingly go to the cross for our sins. And that fifty days later He came down to pour out His Spirit to those who seek Him and Love Him, then there is no place for anything pagan, because whether peaceful or not, it is not of God.

        • Really—Taken out of context! His word, from Genesis to Revelation. There are many of us that do not mix pagan with His truth. His word is pure, and He forbids anything not of Him. Many don’t observe Christmas because it isn’t Biblical. It is from the tradition of man.

    • I will hazard a guess and assume that the suspect is a wannabe pagan. Satanists generally wear the pentagram reversed with a point facing down. In its current position it is more associated with Wicca. In either case, I highly doubt she was a.devout believer of either religion.

  8. It seems this article relates to the AV mostly because the boyfriend was arrested in Lancaster. Wish they had published a photo of him as well as the mother. Wonder if she had more children within these past 4 years and if the two staying with her were siblings. I pray justice is found and more of these cases continue to be brought to justice and ultimately prevented. I cant help but feel there are so many children suffering out there at the hands of their adults to whom they should be able to trust. v.v

  11. Wow, it took four years to get these two arrested? It is so sad that this “mother” allowed this man to abuse her child and also participate in the abuse herself.

    What is even worse is that I am sure that they are no longer an “item” and now the man she sacrificed her child for is long gone and her son is the one that paid the ultimate price for it.

    Such a sad, sad system and what poor child deserves to be beat to death.

    What I like most about this is that they probably thought they had gotten away with it because it was 4 years ago and now they are going to pay up for the crime that they committed.

    I am happy that this baby boy is away from these monsters and their abuse.
