Kudos to the armed home owner! That’s what I’m taliking about.
And again, Jerry Brown….your early prison release fiasco is overburdening our valley with lowlife losers.

Yes another property crime offense, a parolee with state parole or county probation under AB 109? He needed to feed his kids, really =) LOL. Under the guide line of AB109 he can be sentenced to county jail which is overcrowded and under federal court order to reduce their population. Our state prison in also overcrowded and under federal court order also (you got to love the FEDS).He will serve some time and will back to his trade skill (stealing). He will do a better job next time on casing the house looking for *Granny’s place. As someone stated YOU can NOT shoot him in California unless you are in fear for YOUR life or the Life of an others. You better be in really in fear (not just scared, that will NOT cut it) and say so to the COPS. If you have the bad luck day of having shot an Up Right citizen (criminal thug) in”” LA CO”” you better be ready to go to jail, have your weapon seizure and all other weapons you may own seizure, post bail and a lawyer. Remember it is a Homicide investigation and YOU are the subject of that investigation, the COPS are NOT your friends. If you have a firearm for protection, you really need to know the law about self-defense and what to say to the COPS, no lies*

callitasitis—You say nothing to the cops, and lawyer up.

@ Bird
Actually you have already said something when you called 911 (it has been recorded). You have told them you need their services “failure” to call them (LEO) will always get you into trouble. You will have told the dispatcher some information and a patrol unit (crime scene containment) would have arrived and initial information will be asked for and given (basic; your name, home owner or resident, etc…). The detectives are the one you need to watch out for they are the Monday night Quarterbacks, 2nd guessing your course of action. This is when you choose your words very carefully. That is most likely the best time to invoke your 4th amendment rights and speak only through legal counsel. Word of advice WORD do matter and choose them wisely. It will be your word and physical evidence that either keep you free or lock you up.

Tragedy narrowly avoided. With the numbskulls around here, I’m surprised someone wasn’t shot. Remember, no one can take a loyal dog away & use it against you!
Nicole says
Why arm yourself and do nothing just left him to rob someone else house.
Rick says
Nicole if you know anything about the laws in our great state, you can’t shoot. Only if your life was threatened otherwise you will be in jail for murder.

This is the reason why we should all stay armed.
