Hundreds of luminarias lined the sidewalks of Clark Court in Lancaster Tuesday evening, so that residents could enjoy the festive block of decorated holiday homes known as Candy Cane Lane.
It has become a yearly tradition for “Candy Cane Lane” homeowners to host a community block party on Dec. 23. The event features a Christmas concert by the Tehachapi Mountain Pipes & Drums, and hot chocolate and cookies shared by many of the homeowners.
An estimated 3,000 people attended the event this year, between 5 and 11 p.m.

This is awesome………however I was coming down J-8 and nearly hit about 5 people jaywalking from this area(INCLUDING A STROLLER) Very thankful I was driving slower than the speed limit or I would have hit them! I really wish people would stop jaywalking in this town. I had to hit my brakes as well as the guy in the lane next to me.

Just an informational comment:
If they were crossing at the intersection and not mid block it is not jay walking. Every intersection unless marked no pedestrian crossing is assumed to have unmarked cross walk zones and pedestrians have right of way. Pedestrians of course need to take care, not amble slowly, not run in front of moving vehicles.

Why did you have to hit the guy in the lane next to you?
Dr says
Did they all jump out at once or something?
