PALMDALE – The former President of the Palmdale Board of Realtors, Greg Galli, has been named president of the Greater Antelope Valley Association of Realtors (GAVAR).
After 25 years in the real estate business, Galli still expresses passion for the industry. According to Galli, “I still love real estate and being able to help solve problems. Plus, the art of a transaction is exciting. I learn something new every day.”
Galli’s service on GAVAR’s Board comes from a need to serve and give back. He subscribes to John Kennedy’s sentiment, “To those whom much is given, much is expected.”
Having obtained his real estate license in 1989 and broker’s license in 1999, Galli went on to acquire various specialty designations and certifications, including CRI (Certified Residential Specialist), GRI (Graduate of the Realtor Institute, e-Pro and SRES (Senior Real Estate Specialist).
Originally a Realtor with ERA Hi Desert, Galli joined Suburban Realty in 1996 and later bought into the company as a broker/owner. In 2014 he sold his interest in Suburban and joined Realty Executives as a broker/owner.
His involvement in industry affairs has been extensive. Galli became a director for the California Association of Realtors in 1991 and has remained in that post. He’s also a past director for the National Association of Realtors and has been named a member of that organizations’ President’s Circle.
A top 5% producer, nationwide, for the last 25 years, Galli was honored with GAVAR’s “Realtor of the Year” award in 1995 and 2012. He was also given the GAVAR Community Service Award.
During the difficult days following the housing market collapse, Galli found time to organize and host multiple foreclosure prevention events in the Antelope Valley. He’s also a member of the Palmdale West Kiwanis Club and has twice served as its president.
