PALMDALE – The city of Palmdale has announced that it is the recipient of a Los Angeles County Proposition A Excess Funds Grant of $250,000 for the rehabilitation of the McAdam Park pool, located at 38115 30th St. East.
The grant funding will be used to make crucial repairs to the pool, including, but not limited to, chemical containment, installation of a new pool liner, upgrades to pool equipment, and ADA upgrades in the pool building.
“This is great news for our residents in Central and East Palmdale who use McAdam pool,” stated Palmdale Mayor Jim Ledford. “Our thanks go to Supervisor Michael Antonovich for his assistance in securing this important funding.”
Upgrade work is scheduled to begin at the end of the 2015 summer season and is tentatively scheduled to be completed by summer of 2016.

I remember as a kid swimming, playing baseball, Palmdale Youth Football practice, and the playground at McAdams Park. I use to love playoing on the fountain. Then going to 7-11 and buying as much candy and sodas for the walk home.

I can’t seem to find a link on that anywhere on the net. I don’t suppose you would have one?

The school district should build its own pools for its students. They build football fields, tracks, and gymnasiums. They should build pools too.
