LANCASTER – Students screamed with excitement recently while attending a one-of-a-kind BMX bike stunt show at Eastside Union School District’s Tierra Bonita Elementary.
Eastside district has been implementing new ideas to energize students on their Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium (SBAC) testing.
BMX group Team Soil showcased high-energy air stunts on April 23 to demonstrate to students that hard work and dedication will help them succeed in life.
“The BMX show is an incentive for students to arrive on time and get excited about SBAC testing,” stated Tierra Bonita Principal Christa Waldvogel.
The SBAC is the new statewide common core adaptive testing that measures student knowledge and mastery of skills. The test is designed to evaluate student performance and help improve education efforts nationwide.
